Frequently asked questions
TeleRare Health acts as the clinical genetics department of your local healthcare institution.
When you are referred for an initial appointment, you will receive an email with a link to log into the TeleRare Health Platform to collect key information before the visit.
This intake process is required to be completed prior to your visit to ensure that your appointment is as focused and useful as possible. It usually takes about 30 minutes to complete, but you can pause and return if needed.

For scheduling or other appointment-related issues, please contact the local healthcare system which connected you to TeleRare Health.
We are currently accepting new patients only by referral through our partner healthcare systems.

TeleRare Health does not provide emergency services. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.
For non-urgent clinical questions, we encourage you to write them down and bring them to your appointment with the genetics clinician.
